The Andray Blatche Foundation hosted its fourth annual Syracuse basketball camp for about 450 inner-city grade school students on Friday 17th in Syracuse, NY. The kids were treated to lunch and enjoyed treats from an on-site cotton candy machine. Each participant was given a backpack loaded with school supplies and momentos of the day.

Former Wizard Hamady N'diaye, Henniger coaches Erik Saroney and Tom Atkins, Andray's brother, Tre and members of Andray's 2005 Henniger team joined Andray in providing basketball skills instruction to the group.

Andray made time during the day to present substantial cash contributions to the food bank and to a local church.

Later that evening, about 125 friends of the Andray Blatche Foundation were feted at a dinner at a local restaurant as a symbolic "thank you" from Andray for their help in making the Foundation the success that it is.

At the dinner, the City of Syracuse presented Andray with a proclamation announcing September 17, 2012 as “Andray Blatche Day” in recognition of his continuing efforts on behalf of the children of Syracuse. Also at the dinner, the Henninger coaching staff presented Andray with a crystal plaque in recognition of his accomplishments at Henninger High School and the game ball with which he scored his 1,000 point at Henninger.
